I had no idea the old IBM Model M -- possibly the greatest keyboard ever made -- was available in USB! Just wish they had it in the old gray/tan color, instead of the fairly ugly black-and-gray they're offering. Why can't we make keyboards that feel and sound great, and have all the keys in the right place, anymore? I'm looking at you Adesso, who made my current ergo keyboard and put the backslash to the right of the right shift key.

Does a top level domain make a nation?

"One address that hasn't been retired is ".su" - assigned to the Soviet Union in 1990. It is still operating despite the country no longer existing, and despite the ".ru" TLD assigned to Russia in 1994. There are currently 9648 sites under the domain. And apparently it is getting more popular - this time last year there were only 7206. Add to this the fact that the body operating ".su" has cut prices in response to an ICANN request to freeze new registrations..." I would totally dig a .su domain name!

Crappy news for people like me, with Minolta bodies. Should I buy the Minolta digital body or not? Ooo, dual tuners, CableCARD support, 720p and 1080i, ergonomic remote improvements (finally I can tell which way is up on the remote in the dark!) and controls and status reports on the face of the unit... drool. Wonder if it's too much, tho, with a price of up to $1,000, since they're basically giving away the Series 2s for about $50 with a long-term commitment; maybe a few too many bells and whistles?
